About Me
I’m a 26 year old responsible, caring and maternal individual. I have a BA (HONS) degree in Educational studies, and have always had a love for children growing up with lots of younger children and being raised partially by a nanny/childminder myself. I believe in treating children with love and nurture, with a balance of routine. I enjoy being outdoors and active and also have an interest in reading/the English language.
My Experience
I’ve previously worked in a nursery with babies and infants aged 12 months - 4 years old. This was for my work experience when I was 18 and I was written to with a job offer from said nursery.
Following this, I went on to nanny part time for twin girls in 2021, one being autistic which was challenging and rewarding. They needed a live in nanny which I could not provide so I went on to a different family of 3 children to do school drop offs and pick ups. In this role, I made breakfast for the children, got them ready for school etc and then assisted with homework, play time and dinner time after school pick up. These children became too old for me to nanny as the eldest went into secondary school, so I began searching again.
I was offered a job looking after 5 brilliant children 38 hours a week so I moved into a more full time role. I have always been a patient individual however this definitely made me more patient as it was a challenge. I had been with this family a few months until they decided they also needed a live in nanny which I could not accommodate.
I am currently looking after two lovely little girls from 3:30-7pm and I am looking for at least 3 mornings/daytimes a week with another family, or I am open to full time positions.
My Qualifications
I have just finished studying “Educational Studies (BA) Hons” with the open university. I do not yet have childcare qualifications but I am more than happy to supply references from previous families I have provided childcare for.
