About Me
Are you a nanny/nanny-housekeeper looking for your next full time role with a happy, friendly family who are experienced nanny employers after the summer holidays? We are starting to look for August/September start.
We are a friendly family of four moving to Newnham, Cambridge this summer. Myself and my husband are both doctors and work mostly out of the house. We are looking for a long-term nanny/nanny housekeeper from August/September 2025. We have two children: boy (turning six this summer) and girl (age three). Our son will be attending school within a 20min walk/10 min bike ride, hopefully closer, and our daughter will hopefully be going to preschool nearby a couple of days a week. As time goes on and our daughter starts school we would like to keep a nanny, transitioning towards more light housekeeping (laundry, ironing, unpacking groceries, organising birthday presents and sorting children’s clothes) with some of the daytime hours.
We have no pets. We have always employed a separate cleaner.
We have successfully had the same nanny for the last 3 years and are only parting ways due to our relocation - we would love a similar long-term person who can become part of the family.
My Requirements
We are looking for a nanny who is happy to transition to more nanny-housekeeper duties.
Start date: end August/early September 2025.
Hours: 32-40 hours per week spread over 3-4 days. Typical day hours are within 7:30-6:30pm; while we anticipate mostly being able to manage 8-5:30, we need the flexibility to arrive until 6:30pm.
We could be more flexible with this to reduce hours around a daytime commitment, studying or hobby if required; the right fit and the ability to cover the ends of the day, including at minimum two fixed drop offs per week as well as after school 3-4 days a week, are the most important. We would like us both to have the security of a contract and employment.
Responsibilities: keeping our children safe, day-to-day care including taking children to and from school, playing with the children and planning activities, preparing healthy food for the children, taking to local activities (groups, sports, library, park), spending time outdoors, play dates, and household responsibilities related to the children including laundry and keeping areas reasonably tidy. Housekeeping is likely to include household laundry, ironing, putting things away, decluttering children's toys etc as they grow, topping up things like milk and bread, and putting away a weekly shop.
We are happy to work with someone with their own child(ren).
Please contact me with any questions. Please note our new address does not have off-road parking - we can support with visitors' permits for early starts, but car-free travel will be needed at least some of the week.
