About Me
My name is Nicola and I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2019. I have 3 children who are 22, 16 & 8 and have recently become a grandmother.
I have been married to my husband Rajen since 2004. He is now an ofsted approved childcare assistant and we work together as a team to deliver high quality childcare within our home. He holds a current paediatric first aid certificate, enhanced DBS and is registered on the update service, he attends relevant training courses throughout the year.
I have an NVQ level 3 in childcare and I hold a current paediatric first aid certificate. I have an enhanced DBS and am registered on the update service. I have a clean driving licence with appropriate car insurance to carry childminding children in the vehicle and car seats to suit each child’s age.
My house is warm and welcoming and I am very passionate about providing excellent childcare in a home from home setting.
I provide educational activities throughout the day that are planned around the children’s current likes and interests, I send daily pictures and an information sheet with details of what the children have been doing throughout the day. I also share regular updates on the children’s developments with their parents using an amazing flower chart following the Development Matters guideline.
I pride myself in providing a well balanced multicultural setting and my toys reflect this. My aim is to ensure that all children in my care feel safe, happy and valued.
I am very proud of the undercover outside space which has a play kitchen and a large variety of outside toys available. The garden also has a wide range of equipment such as a double swing, playhouse, slide and trampoline.
I attend playgroup each morning between 9.30/11.30am which enables the children to interact and make new friends.
I am part of a team of local childminder’s which run a non-profit parent and toddler group during term time and I enjoy taking the children to various parks, soft play gyms and to the local library.
I am able to offer funded places and I am also able to offer payment through the HM Government Childcare Choices scheme.
I have SEN experience.
My Experience
I have been a parent since 2001 and most of my knowledge comes from raising my own children. I registered with Ofsted in 2019 and love working with children who always have such keen interest in everything they do.

My son started childminding with Nicola since he was 18 months and he is now 3. I was very nervous as I had two previous not so great experiences but Nicola made the whole process so smooth and my son really took to her. He never cried once which made me feel so much better. Nicola is always happy and bubbly and she is always flexible with changes to the routine. She allows the children to have a voice and has taught my son so many new things and kept track of his development. Nicola was recommended to me through a friend and I'm so glad we met her. She takes the children out daily to playgroup and to different places during the half term. My son always talks about both Nicola and Raj and is always happy when collect him. We get daily photos and updates on how his day went, which always reassures us! What I love the most is that Nicola tracks my son's development and keeps a file of it. Sadly we are relocating which is why we now have to leave but I would definitely recommend her setting, she is amazing 😊

My children have been going to childminders since they’re 4 months old, I was looking for something new, I was hopeless until I found Nicola. She greets you with a smile, keeps the children busy and happy, is always very energetic and the children love her and Raj. I cannot thank her enough for all she does for my children, specially my son who has special needs . She is a super woman .

I love your family and I’m so happy you can see this. Thank you for letting me be part of their childhood adventures.
My review will be long so I'll start by saying, 100000% highly recommend Nicola for you and your little one.
My daughter, Thea started attending Nicola's setting since she was 13 months old when I went back to work (she turns four this November and we're still with her!).
Nicola isn't just a childminder to us, she's part of the family. She's never failed to assure me of how Thea's doing, amazing at sending updates and photos throughout the day and she always goes above and beyond!
Thea has never ONCE not want to go to Nicola's, we would go away for long holidays and I would worry if she may have separation anxiety when she has to attend Nicola's setting again, NOPE, she'd happily go like not a day has passed.
Nicola is flexible and accommodating as well, and if there's anything you need, she would do it if she could.

My son has been attending Nicolas setting for over a year now and he totally loves Nicola and Raj. They are both so good with the kids they take them out to parks, library's, soft play aswel as play centres. Everyday they keep us updated on how the day went and at the end of the day Nicola sends me a report of the day I love it as I feel as if I was there the whole time with him. My son has learnt so much from her it's unbelievable. My sons face when I tell him he is going to Nicolas house is priceless. During the half term and summer holiday my daughter even goes to Nicolas house and she loves Nicola. Nicola is like 2nd mum to my children they love her, we work together to help the children learn for example eatting and potty training.I am very greatful and thankful we found her. She always so helpful and accommodating the best she can to help you. She is my family,s angel. Thank you for everything.

My little boy started with Nicola when he was 16 months old and I went back to working full time.
Nicola was the first childminder I ever used and I am very lucky to have found her. She was so reassuring patient and understanding of how hard it felt at first for me to leave Zion for so many hours on end away from me. Nicola offers an amazing service, and made my son always feel loved, safe and happy. He always left with a smile and enjoyed being there so much.
She always made sure Zion was being developed through engaging learning and play. She took him to playgroup during the week and to activities like soft play in the halfterm. she is great at sending updates and photos throughout the day to share all the experiences and fun your little one is having in her care.
Now that we are relocating homes, It will be hard to move on even though Zion has been with Nicola for 5 months. I recommend Nicola 1000% to anyone who is looking for someone who truly cares about their little one and will do their best to make sure they feel confident, happy, loved and safe everyday in her care.
