About Me
I am a warm, caring and reliable child-carer based in North London. I have just completed a Masters in Children's Literature and Literacies at the University of Glasgow. I have looked after children my whole life as a nanny (and as the eldest of four siblings) and am patient, fun, engaging and comfortable with multiple charges of all ages. I have a full enhanced DBS check, full clean driving licence and my own car. I am from a large family and am unfazed by a loud and busy household!
My Experience
I have teaching experience in addition to nannying - primarily with early years students and in particular Reception through to Year 5. I worked in a North London Primary school providing one to one SEN support across all subjects to a Year 4 student, focusing on his individual learning and behavioural needs in addition to literacy and numeracy. Whilst there I also conducted extra-curricular literary sessions with Year One and Reception students who did not have English as a first language, with the aim of nurturing core reading skills, specifically solid phonetic ability and basic comprehension.
My Qualifications
BA Comparative Literature from Queen Mary University of London and MEd in Children's Literature and Literacies from the University of Glasgow.
