About Me
Hello. My name is Emma. I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Knaphill. I am married and we have two sons Jamie who was born in June 2011 and Alfie who born April 2014. We also have an elderly cat named Dori and a younger cat called Nala.
I have been working in childcare for over 20 years. I have been childminding since June 2012. Before this I worked as a Nanny for 9 years. I also worked for 18 months in a nursery. I have also been babystting for many families over the years.
I enjoy taking the children to toddler groups and to the local library. I also enjoy being outside with the children taking them to local parks, feeding the ducks and going on nature walks. I like to take the children on outings when possible. Places we visit include Wisley gardens, Alice Holt, The Lookout, farms and Beale Park. I am very creative and enjoy cooking and doing messy craft and play with the children.
I except FEET funding, Early Years Free Entitlements (15/30 hours) and Tax free childcare.
I have a full clean driving license and my car is insured for business use. However I do like to walk with the children as much as possible.

Nursery between October 2001 - April 2002
I was mainly based in a room caring for children aged 2-3 but also helped out in the other rooms caring for children from 3 months 5 years.
Babysitter for many families from October 2001 - present
I babysit for many familes with children from 3 months - 16 years.

My Availability
My hours are 7.30am - 6pm Monday to Thursday and can be flexible.
Currently full for all childminding spaces.
I am available for evening and weekend babysitting.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
My fees vary depending on the number of hours required.
I can accept people for FEET funding and Early Years Free Entitlement.
I also accept childcare vouchers and the tax free childcare scheme.
Full time and sibling discounts offered.
All meals, snacks and outings are included in my fees. The only things I ask for parents to supply are nappies and formula.

Emma is the best childcare provider I have ever has the pleasure to meet. I would never send my child anywhere else. My daughter absolutely loves her and she has such a lovely time with Emma. I almost want to keep having children so I can send them all to her. Cannot fault her at all.

We can't explain how fantastic Emma has been from when we first met her until our daughters last day with her. Emma looked after our daughter from just before she turned 3 up until 2 weeks before she starts reception, Emma is friendly, welcoming and extremely professional. When we first met Emma she talked us through everything and showed us all her accreditations ofsted reports etc. Her house is always lovely and clean. As a childminder Emma went above and beyond looking after our daughter, doing crafts, baking, taking her to gymnastics, play group and various other days out which Emma also didn't want any extra for this. She has taught our daughter how to write her name and learn numbers. Emma takes real pride in everything she does. She made a scrapbook of everything our daughter has done which is a real treasure we can look back on in years to come. Our daughter was so happy when it was time to go to Emma's and sometimes she didn't want to leave. We can't sing Emma's praises enough. Sometimes I was running late from work and I would let Emma know, it would never be a problem. If anyone ever asked us of a childminder we would highly recommend Emma!

Emma has been looking after our daughter for the past 12 months from when she turned 1 y.o.
She was the only childminder who I saw that I trusted straight away. She is very friendly, warm and professional. Emma has a great approach with children and she keeps daily notes of what the little ones have been up to, as well as a record of their general development and their arts and crafts portofolio.
Emma’s house and garden are lovely and clean; she prepares lunches and snacks; and organises a variety of daily activities for kids such as trips out, acrobatics classes, crafts and baking, and more - and it’s all included in her charges!
Emma has always been very corporative and mindful of my little one’s milk intolerance, and she’s has been a great help with potty training. She’s also been able to communicate really well with my daughter who often uses her second language.
My daughter always greets her with a smile, and hopefully we will continue using Emma’s help ad hoc in the future.
Overall, highly recommend childminder!

My son Callum was in Emma's care for some time now and I couldn't be happier with the way he was looked after. Emma gave him the attention he needed, was patient with him and for him it was like a second home.
I was very impressed with all the versatile activities Emma did (swimming, bouncy castle, walks, taking the kids to soft play etc) and the way she showed how much she cares and goes the extra mile in her job.
She was very often extremely accommodating and flexible to short hair changes, for which I was so grateful.
I just don't have enough words to describe how fantastic she is and I would definitely recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about Emma! We travel extensively and make use of numerous sitters and child-minders around the world. The U.S. and the UK have given us the best experiences, and Emma is by far the best we've encountered. We had four children from two families with ages ranging from 2 to 7 years; numerous allergies, different nap schedules, a range of temperaments, and a complicated drop-off and pick-up schedule. To be quite frank, we'd been having difficulty finding someone to accommodate it all, but Emma enthusiastically and effortlessly responded to everything. She had an amazing and sparkling-clean house, and was a perfect communicator (especially as we were working to complete our plans). She provided meals for the children, and managed every pick-up, drop-off, nap schedule, allergy, and complication so masterfully that the children wish they didn't have to return home. Emma... you have our enduring gratitude and if we are ever even remotely close to your location again, we will work desperately to get you in the diary. If we could, we'd take you with us everywhere we go.

Emma watched my 9-month old son on an ad-hoc basis for a few months. She is very friendly, flexible and communication was always straightforward. My son was quickly comfortable with her and enjoyed spending time at her house.
I recommend Emma to anybody who is looking for a childminder.

Emma has been looking after my little girl Sophie from 10 months old. I must confess I was really anxious about leaving a little girl who had never really been without me, but Emma was so patient and went above and beyond to help both Sophie and I feel relaxed and happy. She offered multiple settling in sessions and was really flexible about how and when we did this. She has a very calm manner and is truly dedicated to making each child happy and confident in her home. Her two boys are also really sweet and helpful, often playing with Sophie and always saying such a lovely goodbye when I collect her!
It's definitely not been an easy journey over the 3 months so far, with lots of nap variations, illness and Sophie having my stubborn streak, but Emma has been so open and helpful throughout it all and clearly determined to find ways to help. I often get a text from her asking how night time went after a tricky sleep period, or a picture of a new toy she's picked up for Sophie to play with.
I would definitely recommend Emma as she clearly loves what she does; and while I'm pretty sure Sophie will still find ways to make me feel a little guilty about leaving her some days; I know she loves Emma, loves the activities and is genuinely feels at home in her house.

Emma looked after my son from 1 year until he went to school and my daughter from 6 months old. She is an excellent childminder. My son has hemiplegic cerebral palsy and Emma was fantastic at involving him in all activities. She even came to meet his physiotherapist to understand his condition and learn ways to support him.
My children loved going to Emma’s. Day trips, inventive play, themed activities, all highly organised. I knew what my children had done, eaten, liked, and disliked! We even received beautiful scrap books of photos and their artwork.
I can't recommend her highly enough.

Emma has been minding our 14 month old son for two months now, and we couldn't be more thrilled. She is fantastic with him and he absolutely adores her. She is flexible with our working arrangements, caring and fun with the children yet firm when required.
She is very sensible and cares for our son how we would at home - her policies and procedures are well thought out and implemented and her home is extremely welcoming. Our son absolutely loves going to Emma's, and she is brilliant at handling his tantrums as he enters his second year!
She makes lovely meals for him, and is more patient than I could ever be! I would recommend her as a childminder and babysitter.

Emma childminds our 9 month old baby for us 1 day a week. She also sometimes looks after our 11 year old during school holidays and has babysat for us in the evenings.
She is very reliable, confident and friendly, and our children love spending time with her and her son.
She has really helped us settle our baby into a routine with lots of tips and perserverance. She has also been firm when required with our older son! :)
I would very much recommend Emma as a babysitter as she is great with the children and also a lovely person to deal with.
