My Summary
About Me
I’m currently looking for a part-time position. I have experience as a nanny, housekeeper, waitress and previously I was a Deputy manager of a baby room within a nursery setting and I also took part in admin work within the nursery. I have strong English Language and achieved a B in English GCSE. I also have a Early childhood studies Degree and 6 years working with children.
I am currently doing a Part time Beauty Therapy course at college on Tuesdays and Maths GCSE on Fridays 11:45- 2ish. So I am looking for a role to do alongside studying.
Thank you so much!
Kindest regards,
I was working as Deputy Manager in a nursery for the ages of 10 months and 2.5 years old. I have many different responsibilities including replying to emails, taking phone calls, organising tours, ordering the children's food shop for each week, editing the children's meal for the week ahead and creating a newsletter each week on Microsoft word to send to the children's parents. I am currently working four days a week which equals to 40 hours a week. I also have a Paediatric First Aid Certificate and DBS on the update system.
Also, I am expected to carry out tours of the nursery and check the fire alarm is working on a weekly basis. Further, in the chef’s absence I am expected to prepare meals and snacks for the children and unload tesco deliveries. Furthermore, I am a nursery teacher for the babies and the lead the room in the Manager's absence. I take part in daily care routines for the babies which includes changing nappies, dirty clothes and feeding them. I also do circle time for the babies, take them in the garden and provide them with educational activities. This includes maths games, learnings new words and letter sounds, arts and crafts and sensory bags. I also love doing baby ballet baby yoga with the children. Lastly, I write up weekly observations for the children and post them to to parents on the nursery app each week.
This job role has given me a lot of independence, leadership skills, organisational skills, communication skills, new responsibilities and patience. It has also provided with different job roles as when I first started at this setting, I was a preschool deputy manager. This included working caring for the children who were between 3 and 4. My primarily focus was the day-to-day care of the children and helping them to become school ready. This included practicing phonics with them, teaching them to write their names, doing simple maths activities with them and helping them to reach individual learning targets. All of this experience has increased my confidence, and I am very excited to find a new job opportunity.
