About Me
My name is Gail Foster.
I have been childminding since 1997. I became an accredited childminder in 2012.
In my spare time I like to spend time with my husband and family. Whether it be eating out locally or weekends away a good time is had by all. I also like to go camping in the summer with friends. We tend not to travel too far, as long as it's away from the washing machine it will do! I prefer to be outdoors than in so having a big park down the road suits me (and the child-minds) just fine.
My Experience
I started childminding in 1997,when my daughter was 2, and I needed childcare for her. Originally, this was a provisional arrangement until she started school, but here I am still going strong and enjoying every moment.
I have attended many training course's including Food Hygiene, First Aid, Health and Safety and Children's Care, Learning and Development NVQ 3. I take the children to the park most days and also attend a local toddlers gym on Tuesdays and Thursday. I try to teach the children as much as possible through play and strive to make all activities fun.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development.
Paediatric First Aid.
Food Hygiene.
Heuristic Play.
Signing Training.
My Availability
I am available to work from 7a.m. to 6p.m. Monday to Friday including school holidays.

Well… where can I start, my son Theodore has absolutely thrived with Gail at her in home setting. He’s come on in heaps and bounds with speech & language as well as his potty training which Gail supported us with. As a first time mum the thought of putting Theodore in a huge mainstream nursery was really worrying for me with it being such a huge transition from home. Gail offers a home from home kind of atmosphere which was why we chose her for his setting and we’re both very glad we did. Would definitely recommend and if we were to have any more littles we’d love to send them to Gail.

Gail has looked after both our children. Both have been very happy there. It’s a small setting with a real family feel. The one thing we were very concerned about when looking for childcare was somewhere our children would actually get some sleep at naptimes. She was able to offer a quiet and dark room for sleep which has meant both our children have been well rested and happy. The children are usually taken out to either Victoria Gardens or the local park every day, both of which are in easy walking distance. She offers a variety of toys and activities including painting, sticking, playdough, drawing etc. She has been very flexible with days and times when needed and will help out whenever she can. She has also been a great source of advice when issues have arisen. She has really helped encourage our little boys speech which has improved significantly since he returned after COVID-19 lockdown. We would highly recommend Gail.
