My Requirements
We are looking for a ‘special’, Special Needs Teacher (or teacher with SEN experience) to work with our profoundly disabled little grandson.
Our grandson is 8 years old, non-verbal, and due to his medical complexities has to be educated within the home rather than in a school environment. The family lives near Corby, Northamptonshire.
We are looking for a calm, patient, happy teacher to work towards our grandson’s EHCP outcomes and targets. Despite being 8 years old, it will be extremely play focussed and at an Early Years Level. Our grandson has his own unique Curriculum to follow.
We are looking for a non smoker, and someone who is fully vaccinated for Covid and Flu and is okay with dogs. As a family, we are still shielding due to our grandson’s vulnerabilities. A CRB check is also required.
Consistency and continuity are extremely important, as is flexibility. We are looking for a committed teacher who will see our grandson for the joy he is, not his long list of diagnoses. He is the happiest little boy, who loves cuddles and has just found his voice. It will be immensely rewarding to work with him.
