About Me
Rated 'Good' by Ofsted in July 2022. No charge for any local activities, trips or childminder holidays, including bank holidays.
I am a warm, engaging postgraduate with a down-to-earth approach to childcare, a calm disposition, a sense of fun, a good level of literacy and excellent communication skills. I have years of experience with young children, a passion for the outdoors, regular visits to Stay and Play during term-time, local outings during the holidays and a love of reading, singing and arts and crafts which I enjoy sharing with my mindees and I prepare delicious, nutritious meals. I am a member of Childminding UK, a Gold member of Childcare.co.uk and I'm an active member of two childminding peer support groups.
My setting is a lovely period house with an enclosed outdoor play area and I care year-round mostly for a small number of pre-school children, aged 9 months upwards. For year-round places I am open from 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Thursday.
I will be offering the funded hours from September 2025, which can be combined with privately-funded hours for a year-round place.
I offer tax-free childcare to all parents and eligible parents on Universal Credit can claim up to 85% of their childcare costs. I can also accept the Childcare grant for eligible parents in full-time education.
My Experience
Being part of a large family, I have always been around young children and infants. I have three independent young adult children of my own, many years of childcare experience and have volunteered locally with Scouts and as a parent volunteer on dozens of school trips.
Prior to childminding and having enjoyed careers in very different job sectors, I also enjoyed being the 'go-to' unpaid childminder for neighbours and friends over many years, which I absolutely loved. I set up as an Ofsted-registered childminder at the very beginning of the Covid pandemic and I have developed mutually supportive, trusting relationships with my mindees' parents. I have a nurturing, inclusive approach to childcare whilst also promoting independence and resilience.
I prefer to engage with parents who understand the autonomous role and flexibility provided by childminders, our ability to provide opportunities for socialization, play and learning within a small group as well as outside the setting and who prefer our approach to that of the day nursery setting or nanny.

QNUK Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People (RQF)
QNUK Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF)

My Availability
I am now taking enquiries for a place from September onwards. Please note, since the introduction of school wraparound care provided on-site I no longer offer wraparound childcare to new families.

My Fees
- Childminding from £9.75 per hour
From Sept. 2025 my rate for two years upwards is £9.75 per hour for all day, year-round care. No charge for local activities, trips or childminder holidays including bank hols.

Finding childcare for the first time is always a nerve wracking experience but Olga immediately put us at ease with her kindness and professionalism. Her communication was excellent and she was always really flexible to accommodate the changing needs of our son. He has thrived in her care, in fact olga has been a favourite word of his!

From the initial meeting with Olga I've felt reassured that I could trust her to look after my daughter. She goes above and beyond to make sure children have settled in and feel secure. She takes protocol and safety measures seriously and that's reassuring as a parent, she's been great with my daughters allergy. She's really helped with my daughters development and has contributed to her becoming a confident and very talkative toddler. Her planning and communication is excellent, providing a combination of both routine and varied activities and outings, giving an update on what our daughter gets up to each day. I have felt on many occasions that I'm grateful she's part of our support network in London as we don't have family that close by, and it's clear the dedication she gives to the children she minds. We're incredibly lucky and would definitely recommend.

We are so happy to have Olga caring for our eldest and our youngest is starting shortly. She is highly professional, flexible, caring and goes the extra mile. She does a wide variety of activities, outings and learning through play opportunities for the children, taking their personal interests and developmental stages into consideration. They return home happy and often with artwork they completed during the day. Olga is very knowledgeable and willing to discuss and provide advice when needed. She maintains a high standard of cleanliness in her child friendly setting, and provides a variety of healthy meals. Our son regularly talks about Olga and has clearly developed a very good attachment to her.

Olga is such a reliable, open, friendly, kind and accommodating childcare professional. She's more than a childminder - she's an excellent early years educator with a balanced and varied curriculum. The children are in a spacious, clean and comfortable family setting full of equipment and resources and Olga brings a structured schedule of themes, topics and activities to their day. Olga is contributing enormously to our daughter's emotional development and pre-school learning and the environment is the perfect place for little ones to develop independence and social skills while knowing they're safe, secure and cared for. Our daughter comes home bubbling over from the fun she has with her friends and she absolutely loves Olga. I appreciate Olga's openness, common sense and her humorous and imaginative approach to caring for little people! I recommend her above all others and I plan to line her up ready for when I have another child in the future!

Olga has been looking after our daughter Connie since shortly after her first birthday. We really feel so fortunate to have found Olga as she offers a home away from home for Connie, who absolutely loves her. The children do a wide range of fun and educational activities. Olga's home is extremely well set up for childminding, she provides lovely home cooked food and keeps us closely updated on Connie's progress. Olga is flexible and adapted brilliantly to the ever-changing Covid requirements, keeping parents reassured whilst still providing a warm and loving environment for the kids. When we ask Connie what she wants to do each day, she almost always says "Olga's house!", so I think her review is 5 stars too!

My son is two years old and he has known Olga almost from birth. I am a young mum and I haven't always had confidence as a single mum plus Jacob has issues with his development and he is a very fussy eater but she has helped me whenever she has been able to and thanks to her help and advice he is well on his way to being potty trained and he is trying different foods. Olga is kind and patient and Jacob will really miss her now we are having to move.

My young daughter Kailah (6) has always enjoyed being cared for by Olga from 6 months old. As Olga is naturally a very nurturing person, and Kailah would be very engaged playing without separation anxiety. Which was so much easier for me. Olga has picked Kailah up in emergency situations from private nursery, and has always been reliable.
I would highly recommend Olga, and my young daughter has a wonderful bond with her and her 3 children.
She provides a warm and very organic approach, I wish her every success.

I was so glad I used Olga. I could see how happy my 3 year old son was as she is caring, kind and fun and I had no worries leaving him. He didn't seem to notice I was going - which was a surprise - he was too busy playing and having a good time. I've used her a number of times and have recommended her to my friends too. Certainly put my mind to rest knowing he was in the hands of someone who really cares. Thanks.

I have used Olga for the occasional childcare since my son was a toddler.. Aiden loves going by her. She is warm, attentive, kind and very reliable. Aiden will certainly be going to After school clubs for sure when it starts. I recommend Olga to all my friends. Anyone looking for childcare will be very fortunate to have her.

Olga is a lovely, warm and caring person. She has been babysitting my little girl regularly since she was a tiny baby (now 5 years old) when I attend CPD/training course in london. I know Ruby is well looked after, happy and safe and would highly recommend her to anyone.
