About Me
My name is Laura, I am 38 yeara old. I am an experienced and professional nanny and childcare provider, with 20 years of experience, providing care and support to children, young people and adults of all ages, needs, abilties and backgrounds. Including Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Conditions, Emotional and Behavioural Disorders.
My main interests are centred around health and well being. Keeping active; being outdoors in nature; and nutrition, food is medicine after all!
I am passionate about supporting children in managing and expressing their strong emotions; supporting speech and language development; self-awareness, self-confidence and self-worth. Also teaching/modelling compassion and kindness for each other and for our Earth.
My Experience
Previously I was in the position of Level 3 Nursery Educator, working with the 2-3 Years age group.
In addition to my Nursery role; I worked with a lovely family providing in-home childcare each Saturday morning for a boy from 16 months; I have established a strong bond with the child and family who I feel value my knowledge and skills in supporting their childs development; with emphasis on supporting speech and langauge communication and being active outdoors.
I have provided in-home childcare for a 3 year old boy and 4 year old girl. with an emphesis on supporting the two children to interact and co-operate well together. We spent a lot of time being active in the community. Enjoying the parks and other outdoor spaces; creative activities and baking at home and supporting the development of their individual interests.
Before moving to Brighton; I provided 1-1 intensive support and behaviour managment within a mainstream primary school with a 5 year old boy who is on the Autistic Spectrum and has ADHD.

We are so thankful that we met Laura through Childcare.co.uk. We are first time parents and we were anxious about returning to work and leaving our little daughter but Laura put our minds to rest. She kindly came to meet us and our daughter and they automatically clicked. Laura's vast experience is incredible and she is such a loving, caring person. All I can say is that we highly recommend her and thank you Laura for showing so much care and love for our daughter when we were away. It means so much knowing she is so happy and safe. We have been working with Laura for three months. She provides afternoon or evening care for our almost 3 year old. We look forward to Nanny Laura coming, she is fabulous with Rio. Rolls with him and the needs of the family on that day. Which, can be ever changing with a toddler and the weather. Thank you Laura

Laura babysat for our children aged 7 and 9. She is exactly as she describes herself in her profile; knowledgable, friendly and clearly very experienced. She was really interested in the children, kept them entertained with things they enjoyed doing and they are excited to see her again. She was easy to pay and we will definitely use her again!
