About Me

Hello my name is Sophie, I am a OFSTED REGISTERED CHILDMINDER in south Norwood.I am located near a good transport link into London.

I have a NVQ level 3 in childcare, enhanced DBS and I am first aid trained. I also hold a clean full uk driving licence.

I have been childminding for 2 years. I work alongside my mother in law. We are very family oriented and welcome all the children into our home and family. I am a mummy to 4 beautiful children 3 boys ages 12,11 and 4 and a little girl aged 3.Being a parent I know what I would expect and want in a Childcare provision for my children,to be happy and safe, that is why I provide a warm,caring, safe, supportive and stimulating home from home environment where the children are able to gain independence and develop new skills. Being a childminder I am able to be part of such a magical and fundamentally important stage of a child’s life, helping them to learn more about this big wide world and prepare them for their days at nursery and school life. It is important for me to encourage children to explore and play to help them reach their miles stones. It is also important to encourage them to express themselves in positive manner and to challenge them to maximise their potential. All activities are based on the EYFS and are age related to the children’s stage of development. We go out to the woods, farms, parks and encourage the children to explorer the outside get a little dirty and have fun in the natural environment. We also visit Chessington, aquariums and visits to museums.
