About Me

Hi I’m Harley! I am a young and enthusiastic early years educator who is currently studying social work (BA) . I am an experienced practitioner with time spent in many different settings such as day nurseries, after school clubs, holiday camps, sports clubs, care homes. I have gained managerial experience as a settings manager which enabled me to extend my knowledge of the EYFS and primary education while also learning how to manage a team of playworkers effectively. I have also been a Lead Coach, which gave me the opportunity to manage a group of coaches to run a series of rugby games with children aged 3-7. I have great communication skills, an ability to work under pressure, I am good at decision making and I have great time management. In addition, during the COVID-19 pandemic while being furloughed, I went into a care home setting as a care assistant which was an amazing experience that gave me many transferable skills that I can now take into my early years setting, the role also taught me more about dementia and Alzheimer’s.
