AVAILABLE FOR PART TIME NANNY WORK FROM MID OCTOBER 2025. I also do supply work in local primary schools as a teaching assistant. Available in the South Hams area and further afield depending on duration. I have a wealth of experience in working with new families , taking care of babies/children so you can completely relax when needing cover. I also have a passion for travel and readily adapt to new surroundings should you need a holiday nanny to accompany you. I offer weekend babysitting and proxy parenting so you can go away for the night or several, knowing your children are in the most capable hands and your home and/or pets will be well looked after!
As a hotel babysitter/event nanny, I have excellent toys and resources which I bring along to engage children immediately including my amazing puppet song bag, treasure basket, storybooks and relax kids resources and books if children need extra help at bedtime, all geared towards the age and stage of development of your child. I’ve been working as a nanny, registered childminder and babysitter for 21 years and working as a teaching assistant for 18 months. I am also a mum to my two daughters aged 21 and 25 and I’m married. I am energetic, fun, trustworthy, love the outdoors, enjoy walking and yoga, have a bubbly personality, am reliable and have a calm and positive vibe, loving babies and children of all ages with toddlers and preschoolers being my favourite age. My first nanny job was working with a family who had newborn to 8 month twins, and two children under 4. My previous permanent nanny jobs include working for a professional family, looking after 3 boys and a family dog, in a housekeeper/nanny role and as a nanny looking after two girls aged 2 and 5. Most recently I worked for a local family looking after their 20 month old son. I have worked as a forest school teaching assistant with children aged 4-8 and worked as a SEN teaching assistant with ages 4-8 from February last year. I have worked on cruise ships with families, taking care of children onboard and as a short term live in nanny. I enjoy cooking nutritious family meals and can offer light housekeeping duties/ dog walking, pet care, shopping, and homework assistance.
My Experience
I worked as a registered childminder for 12 years, gaining Outstanding in my inspections covering the last 8 years. I started daytime nannying for families in January 2017 after closing my childminding business because my own family had grown up! I qualified as a relax kids coach in 2020 and ran relaxation and meditation classes for children in schools, the community and private homes, helping them build resilience and confidence. I have been babysitting in hotels/private houses for 12 years and in the past 4 years working as a wedding/event/temporary nanny and holiday nanny, with the ability of using my extensive skills to create quick bonds with the children in my care and the parents. My passion and experience of working with children ensures your child will get the highest quality care at all times. I have an excellent knowledge of the early years foundation stage and can plan and deliver age appropriate activities for babies and toddlers. I am Montessori qualified and can help your children with school work, especially with younger children’s reading and writing skills. I also speak French and am happy to teach children French if required.

My Qualifications
I have a BA (Hons) degree, 3 A levels and 10 GCSEs grades A-C. During my childcare career I have gained numerous qualifications including the Diploma in home based childcare (Level 3) Mental Health in Children (level 2) the Early Years Professional Status (Level 6), and the Montessori teaching diploma, (Level 4).
I hold a current first aid certificate.
I speak fluent French.
Enhanced DBS checked.
Fully certified Relax Kids Coach.

£17 per hour evening Babysitting, £18 per hour gross daytime.

Faye was prompt, had great communication and most of all cared for the boys very well. She really engaged with them at all times, singing nursery rhymes with puppets and observing the nature around them on walks. She had a lovely approach with the boys and I quickly felt very confident that she was extremely capable.

Faye has been with us now for a few months and our daughter already enjoys the days they spend together hugely. Faye has years of experience and this really stands out, she has great knowledge around food and behaviours to.
Bluebelle loves the games and puppets Faye brings and the calming techniques Faye is teaching Bluebelle are great skills for life!
Faye is easy to get on with, practical and patient. We are really pleased we have crossed paths.

Faye has had many hats with us - Nanny, Babysitter and Mothers Help. Faye had come highly recommended to me by a friend of mine whose three children had all been cared for by Faye in their younger years, so I knew we were in good hands.
Faye knew how to generate an instant bond with my then 10 month old daughter when she first started babysitting for us. Her "song bag" was an absolute hit and continued to be so all the months she nannied for us.
She was a life saver coming on to help me look after my then 5 month and 22 month old daughters two afternoons a week, for four months over the Winter while I struggled with PND. My toddler always looked forward to the afternoons Faye was coming and even still asks about Faye, months after she finished working for us. We wanted to take Faye on in a more full-time capacity, but unfortunately she had commitments elsewhere which didn't permit her to do so.
Faye's genuine love and interest in children is abundantly clear, and the children sense this. Her manner, experience, understanding, enthusiasm and flexibility all make for a wonderful childcare experience giving the parents complete peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Faye to anyone!
