About Me
Hello I’m Ria, an Ofsted Registered Childminder in the Falsgrave area of Scarborough, with a Hygge in the Early Years Accredited Setting. Working towards our Curiosity Approach accreditation. Winner of Childminder of the year 2024 for Yorkshire & Humber area. I have been graded as Outstanding on my first inspection visit with an agency.
I offer a holistic, quality childcare using a gentle, nurturing approach to learning through play.
With lots of outdoor adventures.
I’m a gentle, friendly lady who loves to be outside with nature, I enjoy inspiring young minds with natural resources. Learning through our everyday experiences.
I have plenty of experience with all ages of children from newborns through to teens, I am also a qualified doula, antenatal/hypnobirthing teacher and breastfeeding support worker. I am also confident in supporting SEN & EAL.
I offer childcare from my Hygge Accredited Setting with my full time assistant.
You’ll find a range of resources here from heuristic play through to outdoor climbing frames.
We (my family and I) live in a pet friendly, detached house in the Falsgrave area which has plenty of space to explore, covering all of the EYFS as we play and much more.
Our large garden is well equipped with play equipment to support our learning journeys.

My Experience
I am a mum with school aged and older children.
I’m a qualified doula, breastfeeding support worker, antenatal & hypnobirthing teacher.
I’m EYFS qualified with a level 3 in childcare & full paediatric first aid trained.
Level 2 in food hygiene.
DBS checked.
Hygge in the early year’s wanderlust trained, & fully accredited to the Hygge in the Early Years Programme & positive discipline trained with APUK.

Ria provides a warm relaxed atmosphere where children can learn through everyday experiences. My daughter absolutely loves it. Highly recommend
