About Me
Hello, my name is Milvia Lisette Humphris, I am an Ofsted registered childminder with a GOOD rating, I am from Venezuela so I speak Spanish too, I live in Stevenage with my husband and our two children. My husband John is local, having lived most of his life in the Stevenage area.
I have a background in nursing, I was a registered nurse and did nursing for most of my adult life. At the beginning of my career, I worked with children in a Cardiology ward for about 4 years, then I moved to adult wards but I loved my time working with children and missed that, so after retiring from nursing, working with children seemed a natural step.
I keep myself up to date with all the relevant training and enjoy learning new skills.
I have also finished the following courses: 'Young Children's Play and Creativity' and 'Exploring Perspectives in Young Children's Lives and Learning' and currently doing 'Listening to Young Children: Critical Reflections'.
We are a non-smoking family and have a non-smoking/ vaping policy in our house. We don’t have pets.
I love crafts and cooking so I will encourage the children to do plenty as well, the same goes for outdoor playing too.
I value the importance of healthy eating so I will encourage the children to do so.
I provide a safe, warm, fun, family environment for the children.
I love working with children and I look forward to seeing them learn and grow.
My Experience
I started working as Registered Nurse back home, as I said in a children ward, then with adults until we moved to the UK.
I worked at Lister Hospital for 16 years as CSW. I always wanted to go back to work with children so I trained as Childminder but obviously my biggest experience with children have been with my own.
My Qualifications
I am registered with Ofsted and Childcare.co.uk. I have a Pediatric First Aid Certificate as well as Food Safety, Safeguarding Children, FGM plus several more from further training.
My Availability
My setting is open Mondays to Fridays, 8am to 5.00pm.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
£7.50 per hour, £8.00 term-time only, £9 emergency care, £9/hour before or after my established working hours; meals, snacks, and drinks are included.

One of the best child minders you will get, I believe. I am always updated about my little one's well-being, and I realised significant improvements in her development once she started going to Lisette. Keep up the good work Lisette.
