About Me
Hi I am Amy a registered childminder. I have over 15 years experience of working with children. I have a passion for working with children and I really look forward to inviting children into my home to have lots of fun learning and developing In a very fun way. I am a very kind, friendly and caring person with a very warm fun environment where children can have lots of fine and be able to learn, grow be expressive and develop their own character. I live with my partner kevin and our two daughters Maddison aged 11 and Sadie who is 4 , and our cockerpoo Bailey, both girls absolutely love making friends and are very caring and compassionate towards others.
Myself and my partner both hold a current up to date DBS check. I also run a no smoking home.
I have converted my garage into a purpose built play room where children can learn and develop through a wide range of activities. I also have a sitting room where children can relax and a dining area for meal times. Children will have free access to a safe and secure outdoor area where there will be plenty more opportunities for the children to enjoy their time.
I will provide activities for all ages for example, mark making. Messy play, sensory, role play, reading, maths, music and movement, baking and I will give the children plenty of opportunities to commivate and socialise with their peers and myself.
Healthy homemade nutritious food will be provided for breakfast, lunch, tea and snacks. And drinks will be provided throughout the day.
I have excellent knowledge of the Early YEars foundation stage, this will sipport me when I assess, observe and plan for each child, taking into consideration their interests and need to help them to progress and become school ready.
We will explore the wider outdoor areas by visiting local parks, libraries, stay and play sessions, play groups, museums, plus many many more. I will also welcome ideas of new places to visit and am looking forward to working closely with children and their families to make my environment the best place for your child.
My Experience
I have a passion for working with children and have done this since leaving college in 2002 where I receive my BTech National Diploma in early years from leaving college I went onto nanny for a boy with additional needs, from here I worked at a private day nursery for 11 years and was the manager for 6. My most previous job was assistant manager of a pre school and breakfast and after school setting, I left her in order to set up on my own as a childminder which I have wanted to do for a long time
