The best

Helen has cared for all three of my children over the past 6 years and we are so happy we found her. I knew from the moment we met her that she was the right fit for us. She provides a warm, caring and homely environment and a wealth of activities and learning opportunities for the children.

Helen is extremely reliable, her communication is excellent and most important of all the children love her. My youngest child punches the air and says ‘yes’ when she learns it’s a Helen day! She comes home tired but happy, full of stories about the day she has had and the friends she has played with.

Helen organises lots of activities for the children, including a wide range of arts and crafts, usually based around the theme or topic she has picked for that week. My children have learnt so much from being with Helen. Thanks to her, my youngest (aged 3) can now write her name, knows her days of the week and can count to 100!

Helen has childminder colleagues who she regularly meets up with and together they make a fantastic group with a range of children to play with and well thought out activities. They regularly go out on visits to the farm, to soft play and playgroups which are brilliant, fun learning experiences for the children.

We’d be absolutely lost without Helen and firmly consider her a great friend and part of our family. If you are looking for a home from home for your child with someone you can 100% trust then they don’t come better than Helen.

Fantastic Childminder

Helen is the most wonderful, caring and attentive childminder.

My daughter spent 3 days a week with Helen for almost a year and I could not have been happier with the setting and the childcare provided.

The children were taken out to various activities, farms, play groups and parks instead of being stuck in the house all day.

Any time indoors was clearly structured, with themes and activities designed to promote their development through play and more
focused time for learning letters, numbers etc.

The children obviously had a lot of fun but there were clear boundaries and safety was always paramount.

Helen is a great communicator - very open, honest and easy to get along with.

I was so grateful to find Helen and will forever cherish the time my daughter spent in her care. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Home from home

We have been with Helen since 2020, and I would highly recommend her if you are looking for someone who is loving and nurturing, which for me feels like home from home. My children miss her when they’re not there, and sometimes don’t even want to leave.
For me I love that Helen has great structure to her day, with different activities and regular routines. She is in regular contact with a specific group of childminders, so it’s a lovely social network for the kids, making lovely little friendships. I think she has a great balance of outdoor activities, with indoor creativity and learning, and she updates with videos/photos and take home pieces of work. My favourite pieces are always Christmas, when she puts so much effort into getting the children to create take home pieces for display and keepsakes.
Her home is clean and tidy, and I was amazed by how well adapted it is for little people with age appropriate toys and activities out on display, and a downstairs toilet opposite the play area so there is never any need for the children to be out of sight. She has a lovely family herself and everyone has always been so friendly and make you feel at ease. I would definitely recommend Helen and honestly couldn’t imagine trusting anyone else outside of family to care for my children .

Amazing

I originally met Helen and a few other child minders whilst at tots music time. They were all so lovely but Helen was the first person to offer to hold my baby. Months later and after summer holidays my baby was fighting to go to Helen. I always say she chose her own minder and she didn't disappoint.

Helen looked after my baby like she was her own, have her so many experiences that I probably wouldn't have even thought of. What I liked most was that Helen alongside other childminders met up most days to do different activities so the children not only experienced different environments but they also got to learn to engage with other children.

Her speech and development grew leaps and bounds.
Due to unforeseen circumstances she had to move on(I cried) but I would 1000% recommend her.

Happy Child

Helen looked after my son for several years. Once I met Helen and her family, I knew I had found the right person to care for him.
You know things are right when you come to collect your child in the evening and they do not want to come home with you, as they are settled and have enjoyed the day. He was happy to be dropped off and looked forward to it, I had previously experiences at other childminders of dropping my child off and leaving them in tears at the door. It made me feel better and at ease for the day knowing my child was happy and being cared for.
Helen engages with the children, is dedicated to their wellbeing, and treats the child as if it was her own. I can not recommend Helen highly enough and her wonderful family.
