My Summary

My Experience

From year 10 at secondary school to throughout my three years at sixth form college I have completed many weeks of work experience, working in various childcare settings; ranging from babies through to year 2.

Since gaining my level 3 qualification back in 2014, I supported other childcare professionals in an afterschools club, and I was a teaching assistant for five months in an Infant School, supporting the Year 2 teacher. I then worked for 4 years as a Pre-School practitioner in the local village which I lived in. This led me to wanting to further my career in early years and I became a senior early years practitioner at Kids Love Nature at Marwell Zoo for 11 months.

Fast forward to 2020 and I started my journey at a nursery in Romsey, and for the past 3 years I have worked my way from a practitoner to a senior early years practitioner, and now I am the Room Leader of the Toddler classroom within this nursery. I regularly babysit for a handful of families I have met and known through my current job at the nursery.

My Qualifications

I have a level 3 in Childhood and Education, and I graduated my Early Years degree (level 6) with first class honours in August 2019. I have a full and in date paediatric first aid Qualification, amongst all of these I have also undertaken the essential online learning courses to keep my knowledge and understanding in various subjects up to date. I have a full DBS check and am on the Government update service for this.

My Availability

Currently, I am working full time hours, 7am-6pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Thursdays are my days off although sometimes this can change.


My ability for babysitting during the weekdays would have to be after 6.30p./7pm. I am available during the days, evenings, and nights on the weekends.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour

I charge £10 an hour for during the day and evening, however if I am needed past midnight my hourly rate does go up to £15 an hour.
