About Me
I am a young enthusiastic woman who loves working with children. I am looking to gain more experience through working with children in different environments. I have been told I am very chatty and a positive personality amongst. I am 18 years old and have worked within childcare for a year now, it is the best decision I ever made, though I am seen as being young I am very mature, I follow guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage and currently still work within a school. It is my job to secure children's safety.
Working with children is where I have found my passion, ensuring they’re safe, knowing they’re in good care whilst having lots of fun.
My Experience
I have worked within the Nursery from April 2019 - September 2019 with ages 3-4. It was messy, challenging, fun and I loved it. From September 2019 onwards I worked with ages 4-5 and particularly doing 1:1. Some afternoons I would do sessions with the 30 hour children. Working with the 30 hours was very challenging, they have so much energy it needs to be let loose. We chose to do free choice, playing outside or within the classroom doing set activities, what I learnt is that the children need structure. I would create a schedule for the children that they got used to, it allowed them to think of new creative ideas themselves for us to do. The schedule was based around Messy Mondays, Tasty Tuesdays, Wacky Wednesdays, Theatrical Thursdays and Fun Fridays. Now the 30 hour children have an afternoon group. I spend a lot of afternoons within the 2-3 year old Rainbow Room. Working with the youngest of children within Early Years at my place of work. I really enjoy working with this age group… you see them grow, interact, you help them learn to talk and start to learn the basics and to me this is very important.

My Availability
I am still working 8-4 at the school after the Coronavirus, I am available evenings and some weekends.
