My Requirements

We need a FULL TIME Nanny Mondays-Fridays.

Start time : 08:00 - 17:00. Most days the mornings will be sole care but some afternoons will be joint care between parents and Nanny. One night a week we need babysitting. Normally on a Thursday night but it can change to a different night.

We live in lovely area with loads of space for children to play inside and outside, and will expect of the Nanny to take the boys for walks, play in the garden, kick the ball and watched them while they jump on the trampoline.

While the youngest has his nap time, homework needs to be done with the oldest who is currently being tutored three days a week privately. Due to the family travelling between South Africa and the UK regularly at the moment, the oldest is not attending school and instead is being tutored.

We expect that the Nanny will paint and bake and sit on the carpet and play with the children. Read books and sing-along to dance videos on YouTube. Play hide and seek and spend a significant time outside watching the kids on their bicycles and scooters. Mud pies and the collection of rocks, leaves and sticks are also a favourite pass time...

The family employs a cleaner but it will be expected off the Nanny to assist the children in tidying up behind themselves, making light lunches for the kids, pack the oldest lunch box for 'school' and help Mom to pack the washing away for the children only.

The children have regular activities they attend and it will be the nanny's job to take them. It will be the Nanny's job to source and attend activities with the youngest boy while the oldest is at the tutor or stay at home with the parents.

This position will suit an emotional mature Nanny well. I CANNOT STRESS THE FOLLOWING ENOUGH: If you are mentally fragile and regularly need 'mental health days to cope with normal everyday living' this job is not for you.

We are noisy and loud and busy and sometimes a bit stressed ourselves BUT this household is full of laughter and happy children running and actively playing and jumping and telling all who cares to listened that they love you.

Please note: The family has 3 miniature dachshunds and regular doggy visitors. We travel frequently and you will be invited to join us on some trips. It is understandable that you might not be able to travel with us every time but we will ask you to take some of your leave if you cannot join us. This will always be open for discussion with advance notice. Some of our trips are literally planned a year in advance but sometimes we also wake up and decide to go away on the spur of the moment. Between Christmas and NewYear all of our employees need to take part of their annual leave.

The position is on full payrol, includes 20 days a year leave and pension. There is a furnished flat on the farm that can be rented.

Requirements:
1 - Must be a driver and have own means of transport to reach work. For any of the children's activities access to the family's vehicle will be provided.
2 - Must have a good command of the English Language.
3 - Relevant childcare qualification will be beneficial.
3 - Pediatric First Aid will be advantageous.
4 - Experience within the age group will be great.
5 - Contactable references.
