About Me
Hi my name is Julie, I live with my husband and 3 children in Lesmahagow. We have 2 girls ages 11 and 13 and our son aged 3. We also have a lovely chocolate Labrador named Alfie, although he is very much part of our family is kept separate from minded children in his own outdoor kennel and run area.
Our home has plenty of space for children to play and learn with a good range of toys. The back garden is fully enclosed and child friendly with a large decked area and artificial lawn.
I believe in offering a safe and nurturing environment where children can grown and develop into confident independent little people. I promote healthy eating by providing a variety of healthy snacks and hot home cooked meals. I will always involve parents in menu planning to ensure each child enjoys the food they eat and encourages a positive relationship with food.
My Experience
I currently have 5 children on my books both girls and boys. All children have settled quickly and I’ve had great feedback from my parents. I have brought up 4 children including my grown up daughter who has flown the nest.
I am passionate about what I do and find child minding a very rewarding role. It’s great to see smiles on their faces, even through the recent difficult times we have all faced we have still managed to make the days during lockdown fun and exciting.
My Qualifications
I am currently working my way through many childcare courses. These are non compulsory but I feel it’s important to continue self evaluating and building knowledge to offer the best service to children and parents as possible.
I have taken advantage of training regarding child minding during corona virus so we can all stay as safe as possible during this difficult time.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
My fees are all inclusive of breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack I will also include Nappies, wipes and outings
I charge £40 full day, £22.50 half day (up to 5 hours) £18.00 before and after school, £13.50 after school only.
My Local Schools

Julie was a fantastic childminder for our daughter. She took excellent care of her, and it was like she was part of the family. She cared for our daughter during Covid restrictions, and she kept things as normal as possible. My daughter settled in extremely quickly and developed a great bond with Julie and her family. Her home was always spotless but still felt like a family home. Always fun and giggles to be had. I doubt anyone could surpass her for quality of care. If your wanting a childminder who looks after and cares for your child just as much as you do, then Julie will be a perfect fit.
