About Me
I am a natural nurturer and I have always been this way inclined. I form connections with children with ease and ensure that these relationships are built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect. For me, establishing boundaries and a routine is equally as important as being fun and energetic. I am patient and I understand that taking care of children requires a sound understanding of the individual child and a tailored approach based on both the parents parenting philosophy and the individual child’s needs.
I am extroverted and I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This allows me to give parents the reassurance that they need to know that their child is always well looked after. Further, I am flexible, organised and reliable to ensure that I can fit around the parents schedules and requirements.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 15 years and continue to find it both rewarding and gratifying. I have worked with an agency since 2005 while also having two permanent jobs. I can adapt easily to either long term or short term work and I have a wealth of experience with children of a range of different ages and needs.
I have 2 children of my own and a 2 year old grandson.
My Qualifications
I am Ofsted registered which includes a continually updated DBS, up to date Paediatric Fist Aid and Common Core and Knowledge Certificates.
My Availability
I am available to take bookings in the evening plus overnight, Monday-Sunday for emergency.
