About Me
Hello all, I am Katy Mcdonnell-woods,i am 24 years old, British Citizen, however I have been living overseas in Australia for the past 5 and half years being a nanny educator/au pair. I live a very healthy lifestyle, very active everyday. I'm very creative and hope to one day become an arts teacher to primary/secondary school. I am confident I can adapt to new families and their children as I have done so in the past. I am aware of the harsh reality of children's mental health and the impact it can have on their future, especially during these strange times. I always provide a professional and open mindset, being a supportive, nurturing and engaging carer, someone you can have faith and confidence in to support your children where the need. Someone your children can turn to whilst respecting your wishes and demands. Patience and respect for the children are key.
My Experience
I have over 3.5 years of experience, working with children 16 months-9 years, with different families. Every child has provided me with a new learning experience with their unalike personalities. I have worked with 4 year old twins, a child with a hearing defect, anxious and high demanding children. I also grew up with an older autistic brother which really taught me a patient mindset to live by everyday.
