About Me
Hello, my name is Catherine and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder based in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough. I've been registered with Ofsted since 2015 and have been rated Outstanding twice. I live with my partner, Craig and we have tween and teen daughters and our labrador dog, Zara.

The setting provides childcare and education following the Early Years Statutory Framework, in a home from home nurturing environment. Being a smaller setting means your child will get more 1 on 1 time and learning opportunities are highly personalised according to your child's interests and self choice.
I follow a pedagogy whereby children explore authentic real items and open ended resources age and stage appropriate, sparking awe and wonder and curiosity and its very much child centred. I also follow In the Moment planning with teachable moments and follow the seasons to teach children how to care for their environment and explore all that nature can offer. I look at children's interests and work the environment to suit so that they feel happy and engaged, which leads to great learning opportunities.
We have a garden with lots of large scale construction resources, a mud kitchen and lots more for your child to have fun with. We also undertake outings to the local parks, museums, bouncy castle, sing and sign (days dependent) etc. Old clothing you don't mind getting mucky or stained is a must.

My Experience
I have been a parent since 2010 and a registered childminder since 2015. Since this time I have and continue to update my professional development through various courses and webinars, face to face meetings etc to ensure I deliver the best care possible to your children. I am also a level 3 qualified early years educator.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I do not charge for my holidays or mine or my children's illness where I may not be available to work. I do not work bank Holidays.
I accept government funding for children aged 9months plus*
*May be subject to additional consumable fees.
I do not share funding with other settings and I do not offer nursery or school pick ups or drop offs.
