My Summary
About Me
My name is Prudence and I am a registered general nurse with a special interest in maternity and paediatrics, specifically maternity nursing.
I have spent the last 7 years working as an A&E nurse caring for adults, children and babies.
I would simply love the opportunity to work closely with a family while they experience the incredible journey of bringing a baby into this world. Due to my extensive experience in a clinical environment, I am also able to offer support during the labour and delivery process. Often childbirth comes with medical intervention, and having a registered health care professional with you can not only help in guiding you through the process, but often helps in ensuring those caring for you (midwifes & Doctors) are doing so to the absolute best of there ability.
English is my first language, I am able to adapt to all environments, personality’s and situations.
I pride myself in my communication ability’s, I flexible and reliable.
I truly feel I could be an irreplaceable asset to a family for the time I’m required.
My Experience
While I do not have any official training as a maternity nurse. I have a BSc in nursing from Surrey university, I am also trained in paediatric basic life support (and have experience caring for infants requiring far more than just basic life support) . I have also provided live-in support for many nieces and nephews, as well as having my own baby. My whole life I have been passionate about pregnancy, birth and babies.
Again, while I am not technically a “maternity nurse”, I am an extremely capable and passionate individual.
My Qualifications
BSc in Nursing
Paediatric & Adult basic life support
Certified Holistic therapist (including reflexology, Indian head massage, aromatherapy massage).
My Availability
I am unable to provide live-in services 24/7. But I am extremely flexible and am happy to work nights and days.
As a mother myself I just don’t wish to be away from my child for a prolonged period of time, I would be happy to negotiate short periods of time for live-in support.
