About Me
Hello, I am Aunty Shaneeda, I am 47 years old and have a daughter, 17 and a son, 14, who both go to school. I have been an OFSTED registered childminder for 16 years and work from home, providing a relaxed and exciting home from home. We go out almost every day and explore the world around us.
Children are encouraged to grow and develop independently whilst feeling safe, secure and well loved.
I can speak a little french and german and use signing with children to broaden their communication skills.
My Experience
I au paired in both france and germany before I went to university and looked after up to 4 children under 6 yrs. I studied applied languages, majoring in german.
After university I worked in financial services and recruitment but decided after having my daughter that I wanted to stay at home and care for my children full time. I wanted to take this time to develop a career in childcare. This has been a wonderful experience for our family and our children have had close relationships with the other children in my care.
My Qualifications
I hold a level 2 certificate in Paediactric first aid, health & safety, food hygiene. level 1 and 2 Makaton, amongst other childcare related training.
I undertake regular training, to include, risk assessments, working with parents, inclusion. I have recently completed a level 2 in understanding autism and trained as a DfE childminder mentor.
My Availability
I currently have an early years space on Wednesdays only from September 2023
