My Summary

My Experience

After finishing my GCSEs, I started to tutor English, Geography, History and Drama. I gained a passion for tutoring and have continued to tutor pupils while completing my A-levels and my bachelor’s degree. I read English at the Russell Group University, Queen Mary University of London and tutored young adults who wanted to strengthen their musical theatre and acting skills. I also worked with young adults who wanted to work on their audition technique so that they had the confidence to perform under pressure. I have experience tutoring the LAMDA syllabus for Musical Theatre and Acting Grades 1-8.

After graduating from university, I decided to undergo teacher training so that I could be a fully qualified English teacher with QTS status. I have experience teaching English in mainstream secondary schools. I have experience working with students who are SEN, hearing impaired and are neurodivergent. I also have experience teaching pupils who are EAL and need help honing fundamental English skills.

My students in various types of schools (independent, grammar and comprehensive) have achieved top grades and have either reached or exceeded their predicted grades. This also includes pupils who have been predicted grades lower than 4s at GCSE level and D at A-level.

I have experience tutoring my subjects for the following exam boards: AQA, Pearson/Edexcel, OCR, WJEC and CIE (iGCSE). For Acting and Musical Theatre, I have experience tutoring the LAMDA specification for Grades 1-8.

I am a Pearson examiner for various exams: GCSE English Literature, GCSE English Language, iGCSE English Language, iGCSE English Literature, A-level English Literature & International A-level GCSE English Literature.

I have built up thousands of hours of tutoring experience and I am confident that I can help you reach your full potential and succeed your learning goals.

My Qualifications

I graduated from Queen Mary University London with a bachelor's degree in English with honours. I obtained a 2:1.

I completed post graduate teacher training to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

My Availability

My availability is flexible; please enquire to find a mutually suitable time.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £40.00 per hour

My hourly rate is £40 per a tutee for online tuition. My hourly rate is £50 an hour for in person tuition.

I offer a 10% discount to tutees who book a block of 10 lessons and a 5% discount to tutees who book a block of 5 lessons in advance.
