About Me
My husband and I relocated from Dorset to West Sussex in 2017. We have a 5 year old boy, who loves cycling and anything to do with wheels or construction, and a 2 year old girl who loves Frozen, the colour pink, crafts and chasing her big brother around. We all love the outdoors and exploring new places. We also have a cat named Ruby
My Requirements
Looking for some flexible short term support initially (to help cover the summer holidays), with the potential to go longer term if it suits everyone involved.
I work part-time (Tues-Fri) and my husband is a pilot so his shifts vary from day to day, week to week. We need cover on some of the days we're both working as we haven't been able to find a holiday club that will take both children.
I grew up with very restrictive, strict and overly cautious parents who held me and my siblings back in a lot of ways and made us nervous to try new things. I've tried to flip that on the head with my children and am a big believer in enabling children to learn at a pace that suits them - even if it terrifies me!! As an example; our 5 year old was riding a peddle bike without stabilisers at 2.5 years old, and he has been tying his own shoelaces for a few months. Our daughter is still breastfed at nighttime, and we try to use responsive parenting techniques with both children.
Both children are very chatty and independent. They love learning and exploring.
