About Me
I am a mother of two, both of whom are now grown up with jobs. I am fun loving and have loved teaching for as long as I can remember. I believe that all children have talent and that our job is to find those talents!
My Experience
I have been a teacher since 1989 but have also been a Head Teacher in both Infant and a Primary School. I am currently working as a supply teacher. My particular passion is teaching children from the age of 4-9. I also work with a number of pupils aged 5-18 teaching drama and preparing them for LAMDA exams, with all of the children receiving a distinction in the last round of exams (19 students). I have been teaching these sessions online during COVID19 and have been thrilled with the progress the pupils have made. I run my own Youth Theatre in Brmingham, working with members aged 9-25. I also teach the piano to beginners and up to around Grade 4.
My Qualifications
BA Hons Music, Drama, Dance; PGCE - Primary Teaching Certificate; NPQH - National Professional Qualification for Headship; Piano Grade 8.
My Availability
At the moment I teach in schools Mondays to Wednesdays; tutor after school every day and then tutor on Saturdays and Sundays from 10-3pm. I currently have 3 sessions available on a Saturday. I have a few sessions available in the evenings on the weekdays.
