My Summary

My Experience

I have been working in the care sector for around three years now. In that time I have been a personal assistant to a family of three. The mother had several health conditions, including fibromyalgia, emphysema, bipolar, non epileptic seizures, all of which affecting her mobility and day to day life. The two children, 10 and 2, were on the austism spectrum and also suffered with learning difficulties. The eldest could be agressive with her moods, however I am quick to respond to these situations and act accordingly. I helped with domestic duties, collecting prescriptions, shopping and taking the family to appointments, as well as school and nursery runs. The youngest, was diagnosed with autism at two and saw a speech and language therapist every few weeks as when I started his communication skills were very limited, even at his young age. I brought on his speech leaps and bounds whilst working with him, helped with his general temperament and introduced new foods to his diet and encouraged him when he was difficult with meal times, as his diet was also very restricted. After this, I worked alongside a young man with severe epilepsy and autism. This consisted mostly of dealing with the seizures which could hapoen up to 20 times a day, and helping him live a normal life. Social inclusion was a massive part of this as before he was unable to go anywhere by hinself due to his epilepsy. I have recently just been accepted for a role helping a young woman with limited mobility due to health conditions who has three children, 3, 13 and 14 and needs help day to day with all aspects of life including childcare.

My Qualifications

No formal childcare qualifications however at least 3 references for past employment where childcare was involved
Personal Assistant and Carer for 2.5+ years. (Learning disabilities and autism in particular)
Full clean driving license
GCSEs all A-C
3 A-Levels all A-Cs (Psychology, Sociology and English Literature)

My Availability

Current job hours are 9am till 2pm weekdays, therefore any time after 2pm I am available (allowing travel time) and also free on evenings during the week too. Possible weekends if given notice.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
• Household Help from £9.00 per hour

Minimum of £9 an hour, evenings or overnight £10 ph. Weekends slightly more but all of which up for discussion.
