I have recently come out of four years' working at a local primary school, where I started out as a 1-to-1 SEND teaching assistant and classroom assistant. I then moved onto the role of Assistant to the SEND Coordinator at the same school. I have a wealth of experience working with children of all primary ages, especially those with additional needs. I have a solid understanding of phonics (I completed the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds training in 2021) and hold a diploma in supporting 5-11's with communication needs (ELKLAN).
Moreover, I have over two years' experience working with students as an English teacher/ English Language Assistant, a stint of working as an Au Pair in Spain, and a number of years childminding/ babysitting under my belt.
Most importantly, I genuinely love working with and supporting children. It is a joy to see them learn, grow, and develop interests and aspirations. I make sure I engage in a genuine, kind way with all children and ensure that I can be a safe, friendly face for them to trust.
