My Requirements

We require someone with experience of severe autism (non verbal). Ideally someone who has their regular gig sorted, but perhaps wants to augment their income with some 'overtime'. Our main need is centred on respite weekends where you would either pick Liam (12) up from his after school club on Friday (6pm) and get him to respite at 3pm on Saturday. This would of course involve an overnight stay at our home (where Liam is most comfortable). You would perhaps then also be required to pick Liam up from respite (11am Sunday) and watch him until 3pm in the afternoon. This routine would perhaps be needed every other month, so approximately 5-7 times per year. That's about 24 hours of wraparound care. At £15 per hour that would work out at £360.
Liam is a lovely boy who loves his weekends away almost as much as we do! He will usually confine himself to his 'safe space' bedding area in his room and although he can be up during the night he usually settles himself when provided with an ipad.

Liam is non verbal and has little to no communication. He is doubly incontinent and requires assistance with all personal care.
