My Summary
About Me
I am currently work with rehabilitation of offenders during working hours. I have availability in evenings to babysit/nanny.
Before this current role, I worked as a mental health and wellbeing pastoral tutor in a college working with 16-19 year olds.
I have also worked for two years in a nursery school (ages 2-5) specifically as the allocated Key worker for SEN and trained as an Applied Behavioural Analysis therapist for children aged 2-12 with Autsim.
I love children and supporting families who could do with an extra pair of hands.
I am fun, friendly and approachable, with a particular antenna for emotional intelligence. My own experiences, along with my degrees in psychology have provided me with a good understanding of mental health issues and child development. Modules in developmental psychology and health psychology in particular have given me insight into positive approaches to childcare.
I have extensive training in singing and acting and attended stage schools for 11 years. This training, along with many an audition process, has strengthened my confidence in myself and my ability to thrive in difficult scenarios. It has also shaped me to be approachable and able to communicate clearly and effectively.
Additionally, I have always been good in an emergency, I assess situations quickly, trust in my initiative and act in times of need. I face situations head on and step up in a crisis situation.
I am a good leader, and have captained and coached netball teams through school and university, in which I learnt how to navigate different types of people, who are motivated differently. I also learnt how to balance fun with work/training. I have exercised these skills in all the roles I have worked since, with high caseloads of clients with varying needs.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with family and friends, get involved in recreational and competitive performing arts, and outdoor activities, such as walking, horse riding and skiing.
I am a people-person who is hard-working and will go the extra mile to ensure the health, safety and happiness of your family.
