About Me
I am an outdoorsy, creative, and kind individual looking for part-time tutoring or nannying opportunities in the Brighton area to fit around my writing and music teaching work. I have experience teaching students from Year One to higher education, including both whole class and individual instruction. I also have received training in special educational needs (SEN).
After graduating from music college, I worked as a nanny for two delightful primary school-aged sisters. I have a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and can provide references if needed. As a nanny, I can help with homework, plan fun and educational activities, arrange play dates, play games, cook healthy meals, and tidy up bedrooms. I enjoy music, cooking, films and being out doors.
My Experience
EXPERIENCE:
I have been teaching (trombone, trumpet, euphonium, tuba, beginner piano and songwriting and composition) for over a decade. Classroom and individual. I also have had SEN training through my work as a Creative Mentor specialising in dyslexia. As a professional trombonist I have played and toured with the likes of Benin City, London Symphonic Rock Orchestra, Rod Stewart, The Maccabees, The Selector, Kiko Bun, Hackney Colliery Brass Band, ShesGotBrass. Alongside my music work I am also a comedy writer and broadcaster.
