About Me
We are seeking a reliable and professional Housekeeper & School Run Driver to join our household in Marston, Oxford, on a permanent, term-time basis. The household includes Oxford academics, two boys aged 8 and 5 and a Golden Retriever. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the home, and ensuring safe and timely school transportation ( a parent will accompany on school runs). The ideal candidate will also assist with the care of a family dog (not a requirement). This position offers a competitive hourly rate, a yearly bonus, and is based on a term-time schedule of 35 weeks per year.
My Requirements
**** Key Responsibilities ****
_______Housekeeping_______
- Perform general cleaning tasks throughout the home, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and (daily) vacuuming.
- General tidying and organisation
- Manage laundry duties including washing, folding, ironing, and putting away clothes.
_______School Run Driving______
- Safely transport children to/from school. A parent will accompany on school-runs.
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle.
- Mileage for school runs will be reimbursed at HMRC rates.
________Dog Care (not a requirement)____
- Take the family dog on walks in the nearby fields
**** Schedule: 15 hours/week in term time (35 weeks per year) ****
Monday to Friday
3 days per week: 2:30pm – 5:30pm
2 days per week: 7:00am – 10:00am
**** Requirements ***
- Proven experience as a housekeeper with excellent references
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Own car that is fully insured
- Excellent and confident driver
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the family
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A high level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check

- Hourly Rate: £23-28 per hour gross (incl. holiday pay)
- Mileage: Paid at HMRC rates for school run insurance
- The candidate must have a fully insured car (business insurance covered by employer)
- Yearly Bonus: £1,500 paid annually
- Background Check: An Enhanced DBS check will be required (costs covered)
