About Me
KS1 and KS2 Tutor
I am an experienced primary school teacher currently working in Hazlemere school. I have worked in both key stage 1 and 2 and supported children with SATS. I have worked in various schools around Buckinghamshire across different year groups. By teaching for over 5 years and I am able to support children with different needs. I am also a mentor for trainee teachers.
My psychology degree has enabled me to understand a child’s learning journey. I was able to gain different techniques to support children and cater for their needs.
When teaching children I ensure children understand their learning and make great progress by tailoring lessons to suit each individual’s needs. I provide children with a range of strategies and resources to support their learning. For example providing some children with practical resources ensures a better understanding.
I currently tutor children to support with Maths, English and Reading.
My Experience
I have had experience with the Year 2 SATS and supported children with the test format. I have also undertaken the Maths Mastery course to support children’s mathematical concepts and understanding.
My Qualifications
I have a BSc psychology degree and PGCE in Education l. I have been qualified to teach for over 5 years.
