My Summary
Maternity Nurse, Helping Families Achieve Balance In Their Relationships With The Growing Unit.
About Me
I am a qualified Maternity Nurse, that is dedicated, hardworking, trustworthy and loves working as part of a family team.
Every family, every baby is unique and with every new opportunity, I will approach with
what comes most natural to them.
My goal is usually to encourage and educate new mothers and families as a whole, to solidify the bond with their new addition.
I am genuinely passionate about what I do and will do so with a cheerful and approachable attitude.
This is evidenced by the fact that I left my not so fun career of learned friends to join this amazing sector.
It gives me joy to support any new parent and ease their new journey by making it less stressful and more enjoyable.
I have been privileged to work outside the U.K. and travel with some of the clients, therefore one wouldn’t need to worry if they require me to do the same across the boarders.
I am also very aware of the different cultures/backgrounds/ethnicities/religions and have navigated some in my work and been immensely educated and enlightened on how different we are BUT still very much the same in the way we love, want to protect and want the best for our children.
Last but certainly not least, I am a mother too.
I do empathise with the process, but mostly understand the need for having reliable and trustworthy help around you, especially as a new parent or one with older children.
I am here to serve.
My Experience
I have worked with children for the better part of 10 years, as a maternity nurse, nanny & baby sitter, especially with new borns & prematures. Among the responsibilities; Bath and feed babies, change nappies, establish a routine with mother and baby, establish a sleep routine for baby’s and educate parent about maintaining the routines. Where I have been required to do so, I have made some light meals for the new mothers, and also done some light domestic chore like laundry, ironing and making sure baby is in a clean and risk free environment.
In some instances I have kept the babies/children when parents are away on outings and some rare cases when are away on travel.
I have taken babies for walks, there by giving the mother some respite. For the older children, I have been in charge of their outings, recitals, school and activities like cinema, play dates and sports among others.
Having qualified as a Maternity Nurse; I work with new mothers/parents in aiding with baby duties not limited to, Bottle feeding, helping mums with breastfeeding, bathing, sleep training and general care for the baby.
Sometimes, I have assisted new mothers where needed or required to do so, with general care tailored to their need which supports my hands on approach, of course within boundaries in carrying out the client’s needs and wishes.
Ps: I have only ever worked with multiples a few times, it was an amazing experience from which I drew great inspiration.
My Qualifications
Qualified/accredited Maternity Nurse and Nanny, Paediatric first aid trained, DBS checked, Public liability insured under Morton Michel, Ofsted registered, and OCN gentle sleep trainee (soon to be fully certified and accredited).
My Availability
I am flexible in the way I operate; I would work with the client/parent and agree on time that suits their need and desire.

Jackie has really helped us with basic things from tummy time, giving bath to helping with bedtime routine. She is very professional and experienced, above all she is a lovely and funny person, you can tell she loves what she does and does with a lot of care. I highly recommend Jackie as she has definitely made a difference for us, going above and beyond to help us!
Jackie came to help my spouse and I when our baby was sleeping during the day and awake all night and then seemed to stop sleeping at all. We were struggling after having a relatively easy time before the 6 week fussiness kicked in… and they were about to start to go back to work! I reached out to Jackie looking for someone who could help us get on a schedule and more generally teach us how to look after a baby with more confidence. We’d had no previous experience taking care of babies and at that point felt like we were up a creek without a paddle.
From the first meeting, Jackie identified issues and had straightforward solutions. The problems we had immediately improved and a massive weight lifted from our shoulders. We had a routine, a healthier, happier baby, we had time to cook and clean again, and more importantly our sleep improved dramatically.
Jackie catered her services to our needs and our desire to learn. She stayed overnight with us a few times over a two week period. When she wasn’t there we had constant contact on a group chat to make sure we were keeping up the routine and help troubleshoot any hiccups. Having Jackie stay over felt like the ultimate luxury. She was able to observe the baby overnight and make adjustments so we knew how to make them more comfortable to optimise their sleep.
Not only is Jackie very good at what she does she’s also a delight to be around. Night feeds were comfortable and calming. She’s clearly very passionate about her work. Our baby went from staying up all night to routinely sleeping for 10 hours at night within a few days. We have been able to maintain a very good amount of sleep since, and we understand a lot more about babies in general. Jackie continues to check in on us and has been able to provide us with advice on what to expect from baby’s first vaccines and the dreaded four month sleep regression.
I would recommend her services to anyone and my only regret is not reaching out to her sooner!
Jackie was with us from day 2, first day out
the hospital after a c - section, she helped me
prep to buy all essentials we would needed
e.g breast pump, sensory toys etc. As we
were first time parents we needed all help and
extremely grateful for everything she taught us
from how to soothe our baby properly,
latching for breastfeeding, dealing with colic,
switching & choosing formulas after we
stopped breastfeeding, teething and the list
goes on. In the first few months Jackie help us
mostly in the mornings until afternoon as time
progressed she began to do nights which was
the most helpful as full night sleep started to
feel like a distant memory. We felt so safe
when Jackie was with our baby, which is what
any new parent wants. I could recommend
anyone anymore she became part of family for
9 months and I will always keep in her contact
forever because she really dealt with our baby
so much compassion.
We came to know Jackie from Childcare. She has been and always a great help to our family from when we met her.
Jackie has much experience with taking care of newborn - my son was 3 month old when we had her. She was quick to learn our baby pattern and took care of our baby straight away which gave me time to rest. She gave me advices on how to take care of my baby and regularly check if things are ok even when she was not working.
Jackie also spent time listening to me and supported my mental well-being. She has been a great family friend. I would recommend Jackie to anyone who has new baby.
Jackie came in the day after I got back from hospital and we had her booked initially for 2 weeks but later extended for 8 weeks . From day 1, I felt immediately comfortable with her in the house. She is extremely organised, so clean and tidy
but most importantly, amazing with my daughter Iris . I ask her so many
questions and she gives such excellent advice and structure, I donʼt think a first time mum
could feel more relaxed than I do (and Iʼm doing the days totally on my own, which is a real
joy as I feel rested and know what Iʼm doing, because of Jackie). She helped me to breastfeed which was really difficult for me initially for my complicated c section. I chose to move more onto pumping and mixing breast milk and formula which again Jackie just helped with fully. Jackie has also been so flexible with times, sheʼs done some full night shifts at last minute notice, and always arrives to work early. If someone is looking for a routine led maternity nurse who is kind, caring, efficient, knowledgeable and a joy to have around, then Jackie is the ONE
