Hi, I’m Alison – Qualified Primary Teacher & Tutor in Maidstone.
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher and experienced tutor based in Maidstone. I am married and a parent of two, which gives me a real understanding of the challenges families face when balancing school, work, and home life.
I have over 8 years’ classroom experience, teaching children from Reception through to Year 6. This includes support for the Phonics Screening Check, Year 2 and Year 6 SATs, and the Multiplication Tables Check. In addition, I have over 3 years’ experience tutoring, helping many children successfully prepare for and pass the 11+ exam.
I believe every child is unique and learns best when lessons are tailored to their individual needs, interests, and pace. My approach focuses on making learning enjoyable, boosting confidence, and addressing any challenges in a supportive way. I also work closely with parents and carers to ensure learning continues effectively at home.
I enjoy creating engaging, fun lessons and am committed to going the extra mile to help every child reach their full potential.

My Experience
I am a qualified teacher and an experienced tutor, supporting children from Reception to Year 6.

With a background as a Teaching Assistant, one-to-one tutor, and Childminder, I bring a wealth of practical experience and a nurturing approach.
I am training to become a speech and language therapist, to further enhance my ability to support children’s learning and communication skills.
As a parent myself, I understand school expectations and the challenges children face. My goal is to build confidence, strengthen skills, and make learning enjoyable every step of the way.
