My Experience

Nanny: Private Family in Brockley, London
November 2021 - March 2023
Most recently I looked after a three year old, four days a week. I carry out all typical nanny duties within the home and outside the home. Arranging playdates for him with children of a similar age, different classes and groups including music, swimming and dancing. I have also worked away with them at their other home in Wiltshire as a live in role. Since working in Brockley I have become part of a fantastic nanny community, some of which I am now friends with outside of work. I feel it's important for the child’s social development to be around other children and their nannies role modelling positive interactions.

Nanny: Private Family in Clapham, London
November 2020 – September 2021
I looked after two children during this position, at the start the children were 6 years old and 7 months old. I sought groups for the youngest to attend, so she could access different areas of development and to build up her social interaction with other children her age. I also built up a small community locally with other nannies and children similar ages. With the eldest I did school pick ups, arranged playdates during school holidays and after school with other children his age and their nannies.

Temporary Live In Nanny: Private Family, Zurich
October 2020
I was invited to nanny for the same US family I worked for back in 2018 (see below), this time in Zurich for a month. We have stayed really good friends over the years and was delighted to join them on this adventure for their work trip. I looked after their four year old, exploring the area for new playgrounds, green spaces, visiting the lake, taking tram rides, playing games at home.

Temporary Live In Nanny: Private Family in Cheltenham
August 2020
I took a temporary live in position, of two weeks, to cover between the family’s Au Pair change over.
I looked after two children aged four years and six years. It was the summer holidays also during the pandemic so we would visit the local playground and fielded area, to play games, go on bug hunts and have picnics.

May 2020 – September 2020
I moved home back to Eastbourne during the global pandemic to provide support to my family, caring for my grandparents, SEN Uncle, family friends and volunteering at my family’s bakery to support the local community.

Nanny: Private Family in Orpington, Bromley
November 2018 – May 2020
I cared for a three year old and a baby from newborn since April 2019. I created a social network of children, families and nannies whilst here, through different local groups and playgroups. I ensured the children were able to access age appropriate activities for their developmental stages. Within the home I also had additional child related tasks alongside looking after the children.

Support Mentor – Providing respite, Eastbourne
June 2018 - March 2020
My 31-year old Uncle has Downs Syndrome and I offer respite to my grandparents by regularly taking him out to activities that he enjoys and supporting him in the community to build his independent skills.

Nanny: Private Family in Lewisham, London
June 2018 – November 2018
I looked after a four year old child with additional needs and a one year old child. I also had various responsibilities within the home that assists in the running of the house. I attended various clubs with the children, specialist appointments, therapeutic sessions, school runs, creative play and continued the therapeutic work with the children at home.

Nanny: Private Family in Lewes, East Sussex
April 2018 – June 2018:
I cared for a two year old for a period of 10 weeks between April and June. This was a short-term contract as the family was over in the UK from America and they were working for the duration of my employment. I had the freedom to create a routine with the child and was able to be creative within this role which I thoroughly enjoyed.

July 2016 – April 2018:
I worked in children’s residential homes with young people in care, I assisted them with day to day activities including; attending education, being healthy, family/friends contact, house cores, cooking etc.

I worked in a primary school with two children with special educational needs, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, who required 1:1 additional help within school throughout the day. I am there to support them in their learning and personal and social development and enable them to make best use of the educational opportunities given to them so they can be the best they can be.

I looked after a child after school three days a week. I collected him from school, cooked him dinner, took him to after school clubs and activities, helped him with homework and meeting his basic care needs.

I worked in the 4* hotel as a nanny with all age groups, ranging from 6months to 12years. I also got chosen to work one to one with a child who had autism.

Keyworker: Copperfields Day Nursery, Eastbourne
May 2010 – November 2011
Whilst at Copperfields Nursery I worked with all age groups and I had been given an increasing range of responsibilities. I then worked closely with an experienced and qualified keyworker to look after a group of 15 children attending different sessions throughout the week.

My Qualifications

I gained my childcare qualification whilst working in a nursery, Childcare learning and development NVQ Level 3.
I have paediatric first aid certificate.

My Availability
