My Summary

My Experience

My current employment is working as a nanny for a child with a visual impairment. I am there to help her get ready for school, I take her to her clubs/sessions and I help her to emotionally regulate as well. We explored many different techniques and communication styles for her to be able to let us know if something is not right. I established a great line of communication with the parents and stayed on top of the calender, washing and organising. I would look into events that I could take her to as well. This role increased my knowledge and skill with helping children to communicate and emotionally regulate and also helped install patience, focus and fun! During this role, I have been learning braille. I have just completed the online UEB literacy module and I am now looking to do the RNIB braille course.

My previous employment was in a primary school as a SEN one to one TA, with children age 5-6 years. When I started this position I worked with children ages 3-4 years.
In this role I held lego therapy sessions as well as speech and language sessions. I enjoyed working closely with the children and their families and to work out the best ways to help the children achieve their best socially, academically and personally.

I also have experience in a nursery working in the baby rooms, toddler rooms and pre school rooms.

I am currently studying my degree with The Open University. The degree I am studying is primary education

My Qualifications

I have competed my level 2 childcare apprenticeship at a nursery and I am in the middle of a part time Open University Primary Eduaction degree. I have completed my paediatric first aid training as well.

I am hopefully about to start a course in braille as well, I have completed the UEB braille.

My fee is £15-16.50 an hour
