About Me
We are a home setting helping children to learn, develop and grow in a safe and secure environment. Nicola works along side another Childminder Sophie Gallagher, allowing us the flexibility we can offer. We are proud of our teamwork approach and the children in our care have excellent connections with all of us.
I am married to Lee and have 2 older children, one in full time work and one at Theatre school. I also have my mum living with us in an annex attached to the house and the children call her “Nannie”.
My Experience
I have been in the caring profession since leaving school. I started my career in nursing and the elderly before heading into Law. I also trained as a retained firefighter and worked both in the Solicitors office as well as being on call for the Fire Service. My training within the Brigade exposed me to many situations where I had to make important decisions under extreme circumstances, I can use these skills as well as my experiences in emergency first aid to make judgements quickly and decisively. After meeting my husband and starting a family I decided to leave the office life and brigade to start my own business in childcare. This was nearly 20years ago and I’ve grown my business into the Daisy Chain Childcare service I offer today.

Nicola, Sophie and Clare are excellent and I would highly recommend the setting. Children are well looked after, with lots of encouragement activities, trips out and there are also regular updates on what they have been up to during the day.
