Hello! I’m Rachael- a professional actor and musician living in East Dulwich, who has been working with children as a nanny and a teacher for over 6 years. I have experience with children as young as 1, right up to early teens. I hold an enhanced DBS, first aid qualifications, personal liability insurance and tutoring experience.
I’m interested in helping to bring out your child’s creativity and academic progress, whilst also implementing important life skills. I am more than happy helping with homework-I was a high achiever throughout school and university, tutoring english, maths science and music, and also can provide drama workshops and/or speech and language classes.
I am a vegetarian and love cooking and encouraging children to really appreciate their vegetables (blenders are my allies here!) and I also love baking.

My Experience
Currently an afterschool nanny to a boy (8) girl (6) but have had very recent long term experience with 2 younger children ( 1 and 4) including potty training.
I teach musical theatre, singing and dance at Popgems Academy and Poptots- coverings ages 8 months- 18!
I have been a children’s party entertainer since the age of 16 (that’s 12 years now! Phew!) specialising in superhero’s, princesses and character themed parties such as pirates, hula hula, and even Scooby doo!
I have been a part of many children’s theatre shows- including The Snow Queen at The New Vic, which won the UK Theatre award for Best Show for Young Audiences. I also teach Lamda speech and drama exams after school and at the weekend.
I was also a science instructor for Mother Nature Science in 2014, leading science based workshops and after school clubs for large groups of children.
My Qualifications
DBS, FIRST AID AND CHILDCARE CORE SKILLS TRAINING
First Aid Trained (Paediatric course)
Have previously been Ofsted registered.
4 A Levels AAAA (including English Lit, English Langauge, Drama and General Studies) 10 GCSEs 3A*s, 7As, and BA(hons) 1st Class Actor Musicianship from Rose Bruford college, awarded by University of Manchester
My Availability
From February 2025-looking for 3 or 4 full days a week/ hourly equivalent. Cannot work Tuesdays post 3.30pm due to teaching commitments.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (net)
My fees cover nannying, any tuition required would be charged at a separate rate
