About Me
I have been a qualified primary school teacher for almost 6 years now but I have decided to pursue a career change to childminding. When researching a place for my little boy to go to, I have never felt comfortable with large play settings as this can feel so overwhelming for your little ones who in most cases feel secure and happy at home. As a childminder, I intend to create a home - like, cosy experience so that your children feel completely at ease and settled. I know how anxious settling in can be for children but also for parents. With lots of creative play opportunities, as a childminder, I intend to provide a safe and stimulating environment where children will thrive. No day would be the same and each day would be an adventure incorporating your child's interests. Getting your child settled in an environment where they can continue to feel loved, valued and safe is a key priority that will shine throughout the care provided.
My Experience
As mentioned previously, I have experience working in a primary school and so have an extensive knowledge of the curriculum. I have worked in multiple nurseries when working on supply settings and have learnt so much from my mum who worked as a childminder and a nursery nurse. Looking after my little boy who is almost 1 years old has also given me a lot of experience looking after babies but most importantly, my experience of safeguarding is the most valuable as I understand and am aware of potential risks that children encounter and understand how they should be mitigated in order to create a safe environment for your little ones.
