Run by the caring and loving Nicky Andrews, she aims to provide a clean, safe, nurturing home environment where children feel valued and learn through play. Nicky is committed to working with parents and other professionals and continually develops and reviews her working practices.
Nicky Andrews gives children the home from home experience, welcoming them into her family home and encouraging their social skills and personal development, as well as extending their learning with parents via regular reports on their progress during the process.
Evidence from inspections shows that one of the main strengths of childminding is the quality of the relationship that develops between the adult and the child. Attending a ‘home from home’ and receiving relatively high levels of attention from a consistent adult is conducive to meeting children’s needs for security and warm, loving care.
A different range of activities and play opportunities can be possible with a childminder compared to larger groups of children. For example, a greater variety and frequency of trips and outings are possible with a small number of children and the opportunity for children to access a more adventurous play experience.
Group activities include day trips and all year round garden play.

My Experience
Nicky has over 13 years of experience and was a pre-school nursery manager before becoming a childminder. I managed a team of six staff members and the setting had the capacity of 24 children. This gave me lots of knowledge which then enabled me to go onto become a childminder and this has been an amazing experience which I fully enjoy and glad I decided to take this opportunity to be independent and back to being with the children again as this is the most rewarding part of our career in childcare.
About me -I have a passion and absolute dedication for children, I go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome and is very well looked-after the moment they step into the beautiful world of Grangemeadow.

I found Grangemeadow Nursery ran by Nicky in lockdown and it is definitely the best thing I have ever done for my son. He absolutely loves it and has made fantastic progress whilst in Nicky's care. He has learnt all his early learning skills through patience, fun and love with Nicky. He has enjoyed many outdoor activities, eg Speke Hall, Knowsley Safari Park and many local parks which has enabled his confidence and independence to flourish. I have loved being kept updated on my sons day with the lovely pictures and messages that Nicky sends throughout the day. He has made lovely friends that has helped his social skills and their end of year graduation party was very emotional. I couldn't recommend Nicky highly enough and I'm so pleased my youngest son will be joining her next term.

Our little boy has been with Nic for the last 18 months after a terrible time at another nursery which he hated. He absolutely adores going to Nic's to spend the day with his friends and skips in every day. It has been the best decision we ever made putting our little boy here.
He has come on leaps and bounds, all the little touches from daily pictures to the notes to see what he has done throughout the day, it's amazing to hear him come home and tell us about his adventures with Nic and the other kids.
The work Nic does to get the kids ready for school has been brilliant, from numeracy, phonics, to writing, it's been so much fun seeing our son bring home drawings and items with his name one and showing us what he has done. Each term is a new topic and they learn something different and amazing every day. Our little boy has the best time, with his daily adventures out including the Museums, Knowsley Safari Park, Speke Hall, Hale, and to see local wildlife.
Something else to highlight is our little boy is a fussy eater, however the food, breakfasts, snacks and dinner that's provided is absolutely amazing and our little boy has tried so many different types of food and enjoyed a lot more than we ever thought. This has been really good to see!
We couldn't recommend Grange Meadow Nursery and Nic more - it's been amazing watching the development of our child while under her care.
