About Me
I am a young, passionate and creative person. I currently work as a teaching assistant at a nursery school but I am looking for a new work venture to embark upon. I currently study child psychology at the Open University to one day become a child psychologist. I have a strong interest in child development and what their amazing brains are capable of.
My Experience
I am working as a teaching assistant in Rachel McMillan nursery school for 2 and half years. Daily I undergo observations and instruct and help children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting and toilet training. Introducing the world of letters, numbers and exploring the world around them. I organise and participate in recreational activities, sorting tasks for not only fun but educational purposes (organising lessons) indoors and outdoors. The nursery I work is extremely exclusive and I have loads of experience with children with SEN, physical disabilities and educational difficulties. I am trained in attention autism and sensory circuits.
I also organise and run a after school and half term holiday clubs, I prepare meals, liaise with parents/carers daily and organise classroom activities.
My personal experience:
I have a huge family and I have 6 nieces and nephews ranging from the ages 1 to 16 years old. I have first hand experience with new borns. Changing nappies, bottle feeding, weening , nap times, bath time and providing medical attention ( checking temperatures, providing medicine).
I am a certificated first aid trainee.
My Qualifications
NFCE Cache Technical Level 3 Diploma In Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator)
My Availability
I am looking for full time work, 4-5 days weekly. I am flexible and willing to cooperate and arrange works for everybody. Ideally working hours of 30-40 hours a week would be great.
