I am a qualified Primary school teacher specialising in Early Year with 30 years of childcare experience. I offer practical everyday fun activities tailored to individual children’s interests, fostering their independence and nurturing their language skills. I am also happy to look after pets, carry out light housework and cook. I love encouraging children to try new flavours in a very relaxed manner. I am LGBTQ+ friendly and am based in Newhaven.
My Experience
I have been a Primary School teacher for 20 years specialising in Nursery and Reception classes. I have special interest in language acquisition through storytelling, role play and questioning. I am a dad of 3 grown up children and step dad to 4. I was a full time dad when my children were young. Over the years I’ve had many animals including dogs, cats, goats and a parrot.
My Qualifications
I trained as a primary teacher in 1993 at Froebel College with classroom experience over 2 decades. Froebel’s philosophy was that “play is the highest expression of human development in childhood, for it alone is the free expression of what is in the child's soul.”
