I have over fifteen years of experience working professionally with children as well as having two adult children of my own. I am a positive and creative person with a good sense of humour and a love of the outside.
My Experience
I have extensive experience in looking after children. I worked as a teaching assistant in an infants school for seven years. During my time there, as well as generally assisting teachers with their curriculum, I took my own groups of children for structured learning, teaching phonics, assisting in learning to read and physical education. I was highly praised for my nurturing personality which led me to work with numerous children on a one to one basis, some with extremely complex and demanding needs. I completed many courses during my time at the school including nurture training and how to help children with autism and aspergers syndrome as well as regular first aid training.
For the last eight years I have been working as a private nanny. I worked for four years for a family down south before relocating to Wales. I encouraged them in many activities including swimming and climbing. I formed solid bonds with all three children and thoroughly enjoyed my time with the family. Since relocating to Wales four years ago I have been working for two separate families on a part time basis. With both families the youngest children have now started school and I am currently doing a few school pick ups for both families settling their youngest children into school. I am looking to start with a new family or potentially add hours around these existing families.
Professionally I have experience working with children from age one through to eleven. I do, however, have two children of my own aged twenty four and twenty six respectively.

My Availability
I am currently working on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from school pick up time until around 6 o clock. I can either help at other times of the week or once the youngest children from both families are settled into school I will be available all week.
