About Me
Hi, my name is Katie-Anne.
I am looking for an opportunity to nanny a few mornings a week. I currently have another job where I work from 3pm.
In June 2021 I graduated from the University of Reading with a BA Primary Education with an Art Specialism. I have been working as an after school nanny since then as well as being a full time athlete. I am a friendly and creative person, I enjoy being active and spending time outside. I am a quick learner and a very flexible person who will do my best to meet the needs of your children.
My Experience
I worked as an Au Pair in France for six months from November 2017- April 2018 caring for 3 children (3, 11, 15). I spent a lot of time looking after the youngest child and taught him English whilst he taught me French! I was also expected to do light housework and cook meals for the whole family.
I am a qualified teacher and have had lots of experience working with children, I have a kind manner but understand the importance of setting boundaries. I will be able to assist your children with their homework as well as encouraging them to learn through play.
I have a lot of experience working with children with special needs in a play/ leisure setting. I worked as play-worker for a charity that provides opportunities for children with additional needs to relax and make friends. I am comfortable dealing with challenging behaviour and assisting with personal care needs. My younger sister is Autistic and I have been one of her main carer's since being a young child, she is also selective mute so I am comfortable with children who are non verbal/ mute/ selective mute and can use basic BSL and Makaton.
