About Me
I am a caring and kind individual with a true passion for working with children. I am a twenty year old student currently in my second year at Starthclyde University studying to become a Primary Teacher. This has enhanced not only my understanding of children and their needs but my desire to be around children and gain greater experience in caring for them. I am fundamentally aware of the fact that every child is different and find joy in getting to know their own wee personalities and interests. In my spare time I also have great interests in fitness and baking, growing up on the Isle of Arran I also love to spend time outdoors and always make time to go walking during my day. I have a very bubbly and fun personality and love getting to know new people and face new challenges.
My Experience
I have years of extensive experience working in nurseries of which I have been assessed and praised for my performance. I have also had experience in babysitting roles (mostly 'one off' jobs) throughout my teenage years in family homes, hotels and creches. My experience is mainly with younger children and toddlers but open to and extremely capable of looking after older children. Studying Primary Education also means I have an extensive knowledge of a child's pedagogy and the correct way to care for them and their individual needs. I also have PVG certificate as well as a UK drivers licence and car.
Through my course, experience and knowledge; looking after children is second nature to me and I could think of no other job or responsibility I would wish to have.
My Qualifications
I have 5 Highers at - AABBB
I also have my National 5 Maths Qualification - B
I have a PVG and completed a first aid course in high school.
I also have all my credits from my first year of Primary Education.
My Availability
My university studies are currently online and coming to an end. Therefore I am Happy to help out however long and often I am required. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if interested or if you have any questions.
