My Experience
I am a fully qualified teacher who has just returned from being a live in governess in Australia homeschooling two children. My studies included homeschooling, creating educational and fun tasks, making them snacks and dinner. I also adopted the role as a travel nanny with this family and travelled around Europe with them caring for two children aged 9 and 4. This included solo overnight stays and travel with the children.
I have taught in a range of differing schools, so this has given me experience working with children of all ages and abilities, including children with SEN. This provides me with the knowledge to support children in homework or provide additional educational tasks. I also come from a large family with 3 brothers, one of which was has ADHD so have experience working with and handling medication. I have worked at many summer schemes, hockey camps and volunteered Sunday school over the years. I also have been babysitting for family and friends since the age of 16.
